“For my solo exhibition at the Alley Gallery in Hasselt (Belgium), I delved deeper into my fascination for the play between a shape and it’s counter shape. The fascination that once got its first manifestation in the form of a large mural in the Z33 House for Contemporary Art, also in Hasselt.

The exhibition 'Word Play' shows a series of works that have been produced in a short period of time that all relate to the same game: black versus white, shape versus counter shape and text versus image.

I made these screenprints at Kapitaal in Utrecht. They are part of a series of five. They all embody a different form experiment and their own textual layer.”
